I've found that grades of rivers are very subjective and local variances skew the info you get. I paddle in BC and often people from outside the area say the runs are downgraded around here which causes problems when folks get out on the river. I say do you're own research on the rivers you want to run and scout when you're not sure.

Hi...contary to what kayakingking said RPM yes is a good biginners choice if u are using a club boat for example...if you are planning on learning to roll Screw/strom etc it is perfectly possible to learn in theese boats...however i would go for a shorter flatter bottomed boat that may be harder at first but u will not get boared of it and you dont have to spend yet more money bying another boat..

a kayak can cost pretty much any ammount of mopney £200 plus. If is was u and i was a begginer i would go for a REDLINE or an RPM... great begginer boats they start about the £300 mark. Hope this helps. |
