Like the woman said, Houston does not try to be NYC, but it sure is looking almost like it. Great shopping, especially at The Galleria, nice music/entertainment, lots of sports, and a good place to do business during the recession. Oh, and did I forget to mention that when it comes to dining, Houston wins hands down. No other city in Texas, not even San Antonio or Corpus Christi, could beat it.

Houston doesn't have that big city attitude just like the woman said.I lived in Dallas for a while and always had to act a certain way towards people but when I came to Houston people spoke to you as if they knew you. If you look at them they would smile and wave. Its a big city that acts like a small town or a small town with a big city in itIve been here 12 years now.

Clint Black, who was raised in Houston, has a song called "I'll Take Texas" which is a tribute to the Lone Star State, but as a native Houstonian, I'd sing, "If ya ask me, I'll take Houston any day. |
